2022 Graphic Design Camp
Under the guidance of teacher, speaker, author and illustrator Andrew Toffoli, campers at the Graphic Design Printmaking Camp will learn the fundamentals of graphic design and printmaking using project-based learning.
They will learn the design process, color theory, typography, advertisements and product designs. Upon completion, campers will get a glimpse of the vast careers, skill and techniques in the graphic design world.

ACTIVITIES INCLUDE
Book Publishing Project
Campers will write, illustrate, and construct their own book under the guidance of author and illustrator Andrew Toffoli.
Printmaking
Campers will design and print their own fabric print. They will bring their creation to life by using industry-based processes and materials.
Design Composition
Campers will develop an understanding of visual relationships and how to use them to communicate a direct and coherent message.
Packaging Design
Involves the design and creation of the exterior of a product. This includes choices in materials and forms as well as graphics, colors and fonts that are used on wrapping, a box, a can, a bottle or any kind of container.
Typography
Campers develop an understanding of basic typographic vocabulary and basic typographic visual relationships.
Communication
Develop an understanding of basic image meaning, sequencing and narrative structure, and how these design practices create visual impact and clarity while solving communications problems.
Imaging Projects
Help campers develop an understanding of image making and drawing and their potential as tools for communication.
Cartoon and Caricature Illustration
Campers will learn the basic shapes that make up the human face and how to exaggerate them to achieve humorous results.
Adobe Creative Suite
Introduce students to essential design software using InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects.
